Stacie G. Boswell

Stacie G. Boswell

Dr. Boswell is a board-certified large animal surgeon with a strong interest in behavior and welfare of the horse. Her goal is to make horses’ lives better through both physical and mental well-being. She serves on the AAEP Welfare and Public Policy Advisory Council and is the author of The Ultimate Guide for Horses in Need: Care, Training, and Rehabilitation for Rescues, Purchases, and Adoptions. Dr. Boswell is also a collaborative author for Equine Fear Free®.

Dr. Boswell is a graduate of the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine and completed an internship at North Carolina State University. From there, she was a post-doctoral research associate in the Comparative Orthopedic Laboratory at Cornell University, and then completed a large animal surgery residency at the University of Tennessee before moving into private practice. She currently resides and practices in Montana.
