Rapid response, effective communication and a biosecurity plan averted spread of an Equine Herpesvirus outbreak at a Virginia horse show in June and prevented cancellation of subsequent horse shows across the nation.
Acquire lessons learned from recent disease outbreaks at equestrian events as well as tips for effective response to the initial case on an event premise from United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) senior staff veterinarian Dr. Katie Flynn.
