April 8, 2026: Use of medical devices and compounded preparations occurs in veterinary practice — but do you fully understand the regulatory landscape, liability exposure, and insurance coverage implications? This webinar will provide practical guidance to help veterinarians identify approved animal drugs, distinguish compounded preparations from FDA-approved products, and determine whether a product meets the definition of a medical device. We’ll also discuss common compliance pitfalls, documentation considerations, and how professional liability insurance may respond when questions arise about product status. Attendees will leave with clear, actionable tools to help protect their patients, their licenses, and their practices. Successful completion of this session (2 hours) will grant 2 credit hours of RACE-accredited CE: one hour medical, one hour non-medical. Credit is available both for live attendance, or by viewing the on-demand recording and passing a quiz.
